Cape Town, 20 April 2016 – Showing it means business, HoneyKome – the strategic consulting arm of the digital media organisation, Ole! Media Group – has further expanded its top team with the appointment of two key role-players to senior management positions.
Re-joining the company after a creative hiatus, Gordon (Gord) Laws takes up a permanent position as Executive Creative Strategist of HoneyKome. Gord’s insights into the realms of brand strategy as well as his certified imaginative genius (he’s received numerous awards), will assist those companies seeking to engage online audiences and build brand trust in today’s always-connected world. For several years, Gord served as a Creative Director at OwenKessel Leo Burnett, having previously spent eight years managing the editorial content for FHM Magazine, at the height of its popularity. He has also worked on brands such as Amstel, Business Day, DStv, The Springboks, Johnnie Walker, Dimension Data, and numerous others.
“Brands need to communicate on a human level to ‘touch’ and ‘move’ their audiences. As marketers, we have to carefully strategize a brand’s ‘human’ voice. Then, we have to passionately craft great creative work that is true to that voice”, commented the energetic professional who doubles as a voice-over artist, public speaker and cartoonist in his spare time. Combining his passion for narrative with the graphic and visual skills of HoneyKome’s in-house digital and broadcast production unit, VideoSwarm, Gord is in his element – pushing the creative envelope from conception to completion.
Another addition to the management team at HoneyKome is Pierre Cassuto, who has been appointed as Director Strategic Partnerships. Based in Ole! Media Group’s Gauteng offices, Pierre’s role will be to develop meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships with other businesses to drive further growth for the Group.

While mainly known for his role in launching ZANEWS and his many wins at Ogilvy Interactive, Pierre’s eclectic background includes experience in marketing, advertising, media, online publishing and television. His solid track record for growing key local and international accounts, as well as developing new business ideas, will help the organisation to cement its mounting reputation as a leader in digital media.
